FLCWA UPDATE – 25 June

Appointment of new Chair of the Freight and Logistics Council of WA

The Chair of the Freight and Logistics Council of WA, Nicole Lockwood, welcomes Transport Minister Rita Saffioti’s announcement today that Megan McCracken will be appointed the new Chair of the Freight and Logistics Council of WA from August.

“It has been an honour to Chair the Freight and Logistics Council of WA for the last 5 years. During that time there has been a significant increase in the level of recognition of the role of the sector by the Government and the Community. It was a privilege to work with Federal Government on the development of the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy and with the Western Australian Government on several key freight initiatives. It has also been an honour to work collaboratively with the council members from both industry and government to achieve these outcomes.

I am delighted to welcome Megan McCracken to the role of Chair from August 2021. Megan brings a depth of logistics knowledge and experience and a broad national network. She is an experienced Non-Executive Director and Executive Coach with over 30 years’ experience as a leader in operational businesses across WA, Victoria and NSW in the mining, transport & logistics, and energy industries with almost a decade at executive level. Megan and I look forward to working together over the coming months to transition the role.”
