FLCWA UPDATE – 14 NOVEMBER 2023

Freight and Logistics Council of WA recently held a forum of Council Members and our broader Freight Reference Group.

Supply Chain Resilience is a major focus for the Freight and Logistics Council of WA (FLCWA). Our role is to provide direct advice to the Minister for Transport on strategic cross-modal issues impacting the sector.

Recently we held a Supply Chain Resilience Forum of council members and our broader freight reference group (which draws from the freight sector, industry associations, government and the tertiary institutions) to consider what is keeping us awake at night as we look to the future.

Three key questions formed the basis for discussion.

  • How will WA’s freight task evolve over the next 10-20 years?
  • What factors are likely to impact on supply chains?
  • How to lock in improved supply chain resilience?

Minister for Planning, Ports, Local Govt and the Minister assisting the Minister for Transport David Michael was present at the conclusion of the forum to hear directly from the group and how the FLCWA will consider what advice it wishes to put forward to him.

A big day with great insights from all, expertly facilitated by Linton Pike.
