More on our business survey and an update on the Driver Exchange Program.
Our
business response survey is now live
. We’d appreciate as many responses as possible to ensure we understand your needs and can communicate this back to Government. Help us help you and please share with your wider networks.
We will continue to communicate with Industry on border restrictions and have set up a
border resources page
on our website.
We are developing a process map outlining the border exemptions process which will include examples of when a 14 day isolation is required. We’re collaborating with Main Roads and WA Police on Frequently Asked Questions specific to the industry.
Entry into Designated Biosecurity Area COVID-19 Risk Management Plan
-
We’ve worked with WA Police and now have an
approved
Risk Management Plan template you can use to gain entry into the entire Kimberley region, parts of the East Pilbara and the Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku.
G2G App
-
The State Government has launched the G2G app. Drivers need to make an application via
G2G PASS
. This is all an
exempt traveller
will require UNLESS they are entering into a
Biosecurity designated area,
which requires an approved COVID-19 Risk Management Plan, detailed above. This G2G PASS can be used for interstate and intrastate travel and will provide the driver with a Q Code aligned to approved travel.
We are looking at existing industry mental health packages, to either adopt or adapt into our WA health and wellbeing toolkit that we are developing.
The Driver Exchange Program is helping us to identify where there has been a downturn in sectors of the workforce. We are looking at the commercial implications of this and how to adapt the program process. So far we have seen X applications with X matches.
Through our scenario planning group we will be creating a WA Freight, Logistics and Transport Industry COVID-19 Risk Response Plan to assist industry and government to work towards completion of the risk mitigation actions identified.
