  • We have finalised the development of our COVID-19 Safe Transport online training course and it will go live next week.
    • The model includes certification of completion and a vehicle sticker to signify that the Driver has undertaken the COVID-19 Safe Transport training course
    • We are also developing a marketing campaign to build awareness and encourage businesses and the community to use certified drivers.
  • FLCWA is continuing its role in coordinating exporters, freight forwarders and consigners to develop an economic and sustainable air freight solution.  The service has the potential to set a new framework of working, beyond the recovery phase of the crisis.

Border Restrictions Update

Western Australia’s remaining regional travel boundaries will be reduced further, as part of the WA Government’s gradual and safe easing of COVID-19 restrictions. From Friday, 29 May 2020, the regional boundaries will be lifted, except for the Australian Government biosecurity zones, including the Kimberley region, parts of the Shire of East Pilbara and Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku. Restrictions on entering 274 remote Aboriginal communities will remain in place.

WA Police have confirmed that the ability to bulk upload and/or bulk remove staff will be disabled from midnight tonight.

This means that all persons travelling into WA into the future will need to make individual applications on G2G PASS except for accompanied children, and all persons wishing to travel into a Bio Security Region (until June 5, 2020) will also need to make an individual application.
